Counselling for You

Sometimes you know exactly what is troubling you. At other times, you may simply know that something doesn’t feel right.

Counselling gives you a space to talk about what you’re dealing with, understand it better and explore what may help you move forward. Online counselling for adults (18+), with Counsellor Sonali Mulay.

In crisis or at risk right now? In India, call Tele-MANAS on 14416. Elsewhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com (opens in a new tab), or call your local emergency number. New Leaf Wellbeing isn’t an emergency service.

What can you bring to counselling?

You may want support with:

  • Stress or feeling overwhelmed
  • Difficult emotions
  • Relationships or interpersonal concerns
  • Work-related concerns
  • Change, uncertainty or difficult decisions
  • Patterns you find yourself repeating
  • Something that has been difficult to deal with on your own

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. You can begin with whatever feels most important to you.

A short form comes before your first session, with some basic information that helps Sonali understand where you’re starting from.

Before you book

  • For adults, one to one

Sessions are for adults aged 18 and over, one person at a time. Couples counselling and counselling for under-18s aren’t offered.

  • Online sessions only

Every session is a private video call on Zoom or Google Meet, up to 60 minutes long, so you can join from wherever you feel comfortable. There are no in-person sessions.

  • Confidential

What you share stays between you and your Counsellor. The Counselling Terms explain the rare limits, where the law or professional ethics require disclosure.

  • Covered by an Employee Assistance Programme at work?

If your employer offers an Employee Assistance Programme, use the access details your employer gave you, such as your HR team or the programme’s helpline. Those sessions can’t be booked through this website.

How Sonali works

My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different counselling approaches depending on the person, the concern and what emerges through our conversations. The aim is not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand your situation more clearly, explore your options and find a way forward that works for you.
